The Carson River from about 1,500 feet up. I think this stretch is so beautiful, with the cottonwood trees and the agricultural fields. Taken from somewhere above the Dayton Valley.

The Carson River winds through the steep Brunswick Canyon. That is the Pine Nut Mountain Range to the right and the Virginia Range to the left.

Here is the Carson River, entering Lahontan Reservoir. According to local experts, this is the best remaining Cottonwood forest in all of Nevada.

Lake Tahoe is just on the other side of these mountains.

From the air, you can really see evidence that the Carson River has moved all over the Carson Valley, carving many channels over the years.
