Reno is underwater and our neighborhood is just about blocked off from the rest of the world. Stormchaser Ken gives the account here.
The water was flowing down this street in our neighborhood like a river. Three of the four mailboxes in this picture are almost submerged.

This is what Parkway Street looked like this afternoon. The next photo shows what the street in drier days. If you can make out the green gate in this photo (beyond the mailboxes), that give you a good point of reference.

This is one of two streets out of our neighborhood. I guess we won't be driving out this way.
Our little creek doesn't look so little anymore.

The golf course is totally flooded, and the geese are gathering on small mounds that have become islands.
