The herd of wild horses were in the hills behind our house this morning. This picture shows two of the newest additions to the herd -- the eldest of the baby horses is to the left with its mom, and the youngest is nursing.

With its mama.
The wild horses came down from the hills in search of water. And they certainly know where to find it! Some people that live in our neighborhood regularly fill the buckets that you see in this photo. The horses drank every last drop this morning -- and even flipped a bucket or two over. But the buckets did not stay empty long. As I was walking home, one of the ladies in charge of providing water to the horses was busy refilling them. |

Baby Wild Horse!

One of the wild horses that roam in the hills behind our house had a baby. The colt is absolutely adorable, especially when it's prancing in circles around its mama. The picture isn't very good, but the mare won't let me and the dog get too close.
